Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I’m on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?

The Killers

What does it mean to be human. A theme that has haunted me for more than a decade now. As a tech-adept and sci-fi geek, I’ve always wished I was born in another world, time or universe, like Star Trek, Star Wars, whatsoever. Or maybe in some wizard and dragon invested far far away. But alas, I am here and I am now.

The realisation this must be for some reason, because everything has it’s place and time in the universe, made me (re)think a lot.

Obviously I’m the kind of person who believes there is a reason to all of this, that the universe is not some big expanding mistaken mess.

The universe is a pretty big place. If it’s just us, seems like an awful waste of space.”

Carl Sagan

If you happen to believe just the opposite, that it is all a big mistaken mess, you might find some good laughs around here. Please tell me and I might join you.

For all other fellow seekers, whenever I cross a book, movie, thought that hits me somehow, I’ll share it here, maybe with some of my own afterthoughts, maybe just for your fun and consideration.

We have to figure out what it is to be human ourselves, after all.
